Fuente: capturedbychuckI was overly excited when my class started. I nearly got late actually but it turned out I was even the second person who arrived.
This was the first project we made at Gourdo’s Gumpaste and Fondant Class (i.e. Wilton Course 3). It was a very nice experience as you got to meet new friends, learn techniques and cake-deco best practices plus lots of fun! I loved all the tools I had for the class. Nilista ko na nga ‘yung mga bibilhin ko pa! Just waiting for the stocks to arrive and voila, I will start another crime! Joke!
Yes, I know, the cake is not that good. Cuts on the edges of the flowers are not even. Fondant over my cake has cracks. Additionally, it took me almost hours more than our session’s duration to finish this. Haha! ‘Di ako exaggerated. I’m just to nervous that I couldn’t not get them done. Then I realized, this was the first. And I just need a lot of practice (and patience).
Decorating is a skill. Got to have that urge to practice if you want to grow. Otherwise, where you started is where you’ll end. If you have the talent, then it’s a + +. Bonus!
And now I am on my knees, praying! Beggin’ actually that “Hey, God! Help me to learn. To learn how to learn. At pabilisin ‘Nyo po pagkilos ko.” Haha. The last part is an extra. Naah, I know it would really depend on me. I do always nevertheless, need His guidance.
I will post another project probably by next week. A lot of guts is necessary to start this. It is really not a joke. What’s important is that I love what I’m doing.
